I was refining the emergence profile on an immediate temporization of an anterior extraction/implant case recently when I thought; you may not understand what your dentist is telling you and you probably have no way of judging the quality of dental work being placed in your mouth. Here are a few tips. Natural teeth are smooth and generally the contacts between the teeth are tight. This is nature's form and this is how good dentistry should feel. If dental floss gets stuck or torn, or your gums are sore, or food jams in between teeth, something is wrong with your dental work. In my practice we follow nature's form, and will do our best to make sure your treatment looks and feels natural, and that you understand the treatment you've chosen
