The Bioesthetics Process
What is the process for getting my teeth and jaws to work together, be healthy, heal, and last a lifetime?
First there is a fact finding consultation, reviewing the patient's personal concerns and desires.
Next, a complete examination including molds of the teeth and photographs which Dr Reznich studies to learn your case by heart. A second consultation is scheduled to review the findings and treatment alternatives which are shared with the patient. Once treatment goals have been chosen, the jaw joint is stabilized. This is achieved with weekly adjustments to an acrylic splint. Once the jaw has stabilized a final diagnosis is made to adjust the teeth and jaws to Bio-esthetic form. A treatment plan is prepared and followed to reach specific goals, thereafter, regular maintenance is advised. What is the time commitment?
Each patient is unique and their treatment requirements differ. Initially there are weekly 30 minute visits while the jaw stabilizes, and then monthly visits, which may require several hours per visit, to complete the work. Don't worry, frequent rest breaks, pre-medication, and your comfort are the priority.
