Dr. Bob Lee in the early 1960's noticed a population of his patients had healthy mouths, joints, and dentitions well into old age without requiring dental treatment. He devised a study of elderly people who had good dentitions to find out why. Dr Lee found these people had three things in common. First, they had stable jaw joints. Second, their front teeth guided the jaws in movement which prevented 'age related' wear. Third, they had sharp back teeth that fit together and coordinated with the jaw joint and front teeth, to help guide the jaws to chew effectively.
 
His findings brought about the development of techniques and instruments to restore worn teeth to Bio-esthetic form, and relieve muscle tension, painful jaws, and headaches.

Symptoms which may be helped: jaw aches, neck aches, headaches, limited range of motion (opening and closing of the jaw), broken or worn teeth or restorations, migraine headaches, tooth grinding and clenching, recession, root sensitivity, benign postural vertigo, chronic sinusitis, and other seemingly non-related conditions.
  
How does a balanced bite feel?: Your upper and lower teeth hit evenly, comfortably, and simultaneously. When the lower jaw is not in full closure, only the guiding front teeth hit.
